Thank you so much for offering the Streaming Ticket! I attended last year online too, and was worried I’d have problems with Zoom since I’m not very tech-savvy. Everything worked smoothly. You and Jonathan provided all the help we needed, and the community was amazing at helping each other out if someone had an issue. It was a great weekend, and such a good value!

Frequently Asked Questions about the Tudorcon Streaming Ticket

Hi, I'm Heather, and I created Tudorcon! I've been podcasting on Tudor England since 2009 when I created the Renaissance English History Podcast. I've interviewed people on my show like author Alison Weir (whose book The Six Wives of Henry VIII was the first Tudor book I read, way back in 1995-ish!) and musicologist David Skinner. I am a pioneer in podcasting, and have spoken about podcasts at venues from the Sound Education conference at Harvard University to the Tribe conference for writers, to the Intelligent Speech Conference. My show was Podcast Magazine's September 2021 History Podcast of the Month, and you can follow me on YouTube to see all the Tudor Goodness I spread there. I also created the Tudor Planner in 2016 (we're still running our successful crowdfunding campaigns each year to print and publish them!)

I came up with the idea of Tudorcon in 2018 because I wanted a place to connect with other Tudor enthusiasts in real life, and create an event that was a mix between a Renaissance Faire and an actual academic conference. There's all the fun of a Ren Faire, mixed with talks from historians, and new friends who share your Tudor obsession. And we do the online ticket so those who are unable to come in person can enjoy from the comfort of home, all around the world.

Your streaming ticket gets you access to the talks and events all weekend long, via Zoom. Once you sign up you'll receive an email directing you to the private group in the Tudor Learning Circle where you can start to get to know your fellow attendees. Then, a few days before the event itself, we will be sending you the Zoom links. All the talks will be recorded on Zoom and we'll post the links in the group so you can continue to revisit and enjoy the weekend at your leisure. You'll also receive a digital goody bag the day Tudorcon starts (so it'll be like getting your welcome swag bag in real life)!
I want you to be happy and have a great weekend, so I offer a 100% refund if the weekend didn't meet your expectations. In order to process a refund, we will just ask you to send an email to help@tudorfair.com with your request, and explaining what you didn't like about the weekend. Refunds will take a few days to process. I'm certain you won't need to do this, though. Because the weekend is going to be amazing!
Awesome! Tudorcon happens in Lancaster County Pennsylvania next to the grounds of the PA Renaissance Faire in a beautiful newly restored 18th century bank barn, which is also a working winery. We'd love to have you join us! You can get more information at https://www.englandcast.com/tudorcon and book your ticket there!
